And an other part of the scandinavian Christmas, part III is with the angel and house but it was a little bit to much work so I decided to do this one first... and this is the good thing I have another year to complete this Christmas quilt.... I couldn't be more happier... can I do another project in between ...Yes... starting with a medallion quilt soon, together with G and M.

My little daughter n, is making a scarf for herself ... like this I have absolutely no idea how you name this but she is totally happy with it and it goes very quickly and it is the same way both sides .. she did this in one evening ...yes ...yes I am a proud mom !!

Since I have been updating to less I will make 3 posts today.... This is my little project for on the road (boat). This time I just use DMC instead of all these wonderful CC etc... but I just wanted to get started straight away, love the colors normally I am not so into purples and greens but together I thing it is an amazing pattern of course from Blackbird design.

Crochet Scarf

A new very quick pattern.... a crochet scarf. It is a pattern from drops, they made it in one color but since I had these in stock and it goes well with my coat I decided to use both. It is going to be all together as a "0" and then around my neck...... well we will see hopefully it is nice... at least it is very very nice to do and quick !!!!

And a new update from my Scan- dinavian Christ- mas, it is so nice to work on it, specially because you don't need you're sewing machine, so you can just do it for half an hour... or 10 minutes waiting love it....

A new project for one of my daughters a crochet bonnet. the first part I am making now is the under part... and then you make it round to make a bonnet of it. I am sure I will get there when I am at that point but at this point I am already happy that this part looks the same as the pattern. This pattern is from drops. Have a nice sewing weekend !!!

This weekend I finally had some time to sit down and start on my Scandinavian Christmas Quilt from Lynette Anderson. Until this time I was only able to take my knitting work and knit during waiting times or when i was back home... but now I am so happy I finally started to sit down on the table again and made some time to quilt.... missed it more then I knew. Thanks to I and C I have a deadline at least to produce something for coming friday ... thanks girls!!!

This is a piece of Handmade Past. About 30 years ago my mother made this writing map. I fell in love with it immediately and I am sure it started of my interest in quilting !!! On the other side of the table she sat by me when I was doing my homework, and she was either doing knitting... or making something as beautiful as this, Happy memories !! My new project!! In quiltmania I saw this beautiful "zandloper" quilt. With flowers in the middle very nice. We just have a new bench and of course a new bench needs a new quilt... since it is a kind of beige fabric I thought it would be nice to use my stash of japanese fabrics... and here you see the first results.

Wel it isn't a bag yet !!! , but it is going to be one. All the small squares are now attached at al the hexagons too. Next is a curled line above the last row of hexagons and that it can be quilt... so a project in progress ...

The school has began... and the marble bag of my sweet DD couldn't carry the marbles any more.... so a new bag has to be made....

I loved the project... small... and finished !!! Need to finish some more I have so much more things I want to make.... but a finished project means I can start a new one YES !!!

Today it is Fathersday and for this occasion I made a quilt to go with our old car. I made it for my DH. It is a great car and we travel with it through the country. But for the children it is a little bit cold. It has a fleece on the inside, lining and a top, so this should keep them warm !!

En dit is de prachtige binnenkant het stofje past precies bij de kleuren borduurgaren. Hoe de voorkant eruitziet kan je op de volgende foto zien. En qua kleuren is het niet te geloven maar past het precies bij mijn nieuwe tas... ja .. die die ik nog moet maken de japansetas. De hexagonen-tas. Fantastisch straks een tas waar mijn knutselwerkjes in kunnen met een prachtige pinkeeper en een etuitjes voor naaigerei...dan kan ik op pad ...

Bezig met het Sue Spargo project, dus even een update. een kant van de ... jawel nog een tas....is af, de andere zit ook al gespeld maar moet nog leuk bewerkt worden met kraaltjes en natuurlijk net te vergeten vastgezet worden met steekjes op naar de volgende kant maar eerst tussendoor mijn DH's quilt sandwichen... niet echt een van mijn favoriete taakjes .. maar ja t moet gebeuren...

Ja ja eindelijk is het dan zover... al jaren wil ik heel graag een quilttas maken en iets doen met hexagonen en wel nu het is zover... zie hier de eerste hexagonen en de eerste 4-kantjes samen met M zijn we aan dit leuke project begonnen en G is inmiddels ook aangestoken heb ik uit betrouwbare bron vernomen en ik snap nu waarom iedereen zo verslaafd is aan hexagonen, wat een leuk werkje !!! En ja jullie zullen wel denken... Van Gogh had een blauwe periode.... maar ik ga duidelijk door een tassen-periode...

Als een blok viel ik voor dit schattige Noel borduursel. het is een design van Blackbird designs. Gemaakt met belle soie van Cresent Colours echt zo'n heerlijk gevoel om met zijde te borduren super zacht... het is wel met een draad dus het borduren kan alleen met heel goed licht, maar oh wat wordt ie leuk en ... ik ben al over de helft dus dat gaat zeker lukken om hem met kerst een prachtig plaatsje te geven.

Ja wat is het eigenlijk een gebreide tas, of een breitas, in dit geval beide. Het is een gebreide-tas voor breiwerk en zoals je ziet staat hij lekker bol er zit er alweer een volgend project in maar die laat ik nog niet zien... dat is weer iets voor een volgend berichtje, wat er komen nog een paar andere updates aan..

Al jaren wil ik tassen maken en nu eindelijk heb ik in 2 uurtjes de eerste af... Het is een patroon en vooorbeeld dat uit het leuke boek Eline's huis komt. Het was echt super leuk om te doen, de linnen stof komt van Ikea en de overige stofjes komen uit een lapje van Eline's huis, waar je zowel de postzegels, het kruissteekje, het bloemetje als een stukje binnenvoering uit kunt halen. Het vogeltje op de volgende foto komt ook uit dit boek.

Even een klein voorbeeldje van onze gang... in het linker onderhoekje zie je als een klein puntje van wat er hangt....op de volgende foto meer te zien van dit project ...in een avondje gemaakt en zo leuk om te doen... Het huis je achter of beter gezegd naast de haasjes komt van Dorry... Quilt it Dotty en ik had beloofd het aan haar te laten zien of de huisjes die ik vorig jaar november heb gekocht goed terecht zijn gekomen nou zoals beloofd .... 1 van de 3... dus een andere keer de standplaats van de andere huisjes

De Civil War dairy quilt is af ..... YOEPIE...... ik ben zo trots..... dat ie zelfs een dag te vroeg geblogt wordt. Vandaag nog even in het zonnetje gefotografeerd ook al moest ik hem nog strijken. Al deze mooie kleurtjes bij elkaar gaan zorgen voor een nieuw stukje muur, al jaren heb ik 4 schilderijtjes hangen die ik niet echt heel mooi vind, maar op het plekje zo mooi hangen....en nu is het tijd voor een nieuwe inhoud... er komen 4 verschillende geborduurde schelpen in... maar alleen al het kijken naar deze prachtige kleurtjes word ik blij van.

Ta Da en weer een blokje af van life is beautifull, zelfs als je het eigenlijk te druk hebt en geen tijd hebt om achter de naaimachine te kruipen.....is er altijd nog wel een momentje dat je moet wachten...wie kent dat niet als moeder en vrouw van.... dus dan worden er weer snel wat borduursteekjes gezet en is er in een mum van tijd weer een nieuw blokje geboren...

Bij the Sampler is een hele leuke cursus mini's van Ingeborg en daar heb ik deze gemaakt, hier is de top af... inmiddels is hij ook al helemaal door-geguilt en klaar maar daar had ik nog geen foto van gemaakt ... dus eerst de top en volgende keer een affo... oh wat ben ik daar altijd weer blij mee als er eentje af is.... gelukkig heb je ook mini's en dan heb ik nog een mini gemaakt van het voorbeeld want eigenlijk was het voorbeeld met 36 blokjes ipv 16....

Ja ook ik ben gevallen voor die schattige life is beautifull teksten.... zo leuk terwijl je ze borduurt wordt je er al blij van. En ook stitchery vind ik zoooo leuk om te doen. Het leuke ervan is dat het kleine lapjes zijn die je overal mee naar toe kunt slepen, en als je ergens moet wachten, pak je het even op en je hebt zo weer een blaadje, dak of deur gemaakt.

Handwerkbeurs Rotterdam

De handwerkbeurs in Rotterdam, het was deze keer (in vergelijking met vorig jaar) een stuk beter zoeken om leuke nieuwe patroontjes en boeken te vinden, maar natuurlijk toch weer gelukt. De eerste foto komt uit het boek Eline's huis (afgebeeld op foto 3) een erg leuk boek met veel leuke projecten en eens een keertje in het Nederlands. Op foto 2, een heleboel leuke nieuwe borduurpatroontjes uit vervlogen tijden en een paar stofjes.

Het rekje wordt al steeds gezelliger, dus tijd om weer een fotootje te bloggen. Er hangt alleen nog geen quiltje aan, tja dat kan natuurlijk niet dus zal toch nog eens een mini mini mini quiltje moet maken om er aan te hangen...

Nieuw Breiproject. Van I en C heb ik van een super nieuw wolwinkeltje gehoord tegenover de stadsschouwburg... mijn poncho is af... (jaja die moet ik ook nog bloggen)... dus was het tijd voor een nieuw breiwerkje... een heerlijk omslagdoek voor de koude dagen buiten of op de bank binnen.... zie het resultaat tot nu toe

Hoooked, super grote bollen katoen, gemaakt van resten T-shirtstof. Ik kreeg deze bol van S met haaknaald en patroon er bij super leuk !!! Thx. Op Hooked kan je allerlei verschillende patronen bekijken en ik heb dit motief gekozen en gemaakt. Erg leuk om te doen... de as is wel zelfs zonder iets erin al zwaar!!

Belofte maakt schuld, vorige vakantie heb ik een Quilt gemaakt voor D van Kaffe Fasset stoffen en doorgeknoopt...en natuurlijk wilde N er ook een maar een beetje kleiner maar wel met van die vrolijke kleurtjes. Dus Kaffe ging mee op vakantie en kijk eens wat een leuk sterrenpatroon er in is gekomen. Er is al heel wat in op en onder gelegen als dekentje in de hangmat, als plaid op t gras en nu als deken op de bank.... oh wat zijn quilts toch heerlijk

En ja hoor die leuke borduurwerkjes zijn thuis al snel ingelijst in een lijst van ikea, leuk hoeft niet perse duur te zijn toch? en je ziet het goed ze hangen al... soms duurt dat wel wat langer maar meteen een hamer gepakt en opgehangen...

Maar natuurlijk ook de tweede, hier de versie in blauw, zijn ze niet beeldig samen ben er zo blij mee. Deze heb ik tijdens de vakantie afgemaakt heerlijk onder een boom, zonnetje volop schijnend, uitzicht prachtig en dan heerlijk steekje voor steekje een borduurwerkje afmaken wat kan het leven ook heerlijk simpel zijn en dan toch zo perfect.

Hallo daar ben ik eindelijk weer eens, eerst een heerlijke vakantie in la france.... maar nu weer helemal terug en mijn live huisje een beetje aan het veranderen, net zoals mijn blog, is het geen schatje dit lieve wandrekje... al meteen wat op en onder gezet, maar er komt vast nog veel meer aan te hangen en op te liggen, dus dit rekje zullen jullie vast nog wel een keertje zien...

My first stitcherie is finished...sorry no update of the civil war....I am still thinking how to quilt it...quilt as you go...let it be quilted...or make a top and quilt it by hand...to many choices so I can't make up my mind.

But the sticherie is finished ...two of my favorite hobbies combined quilting and embrodery!!!

My second house is finished! Choosing fabrics from my stash, lokking through all the combinations, it are only 9 houses what a pitty...I am already thinking about number 3....

Ofcourse it was eatern one week ago, but I think you don't want to miss. My little one, N, 9 years old made this beautifull treehouse... for eastern we only had to hang the eggs in isn't it beautifull !!!

My first house.... just choosing fabric... making a garden... a flower, it is like painting with fabrics..... It's my first one so don't look to closely. I am doing it quilt-as-you-go...using vliezofix...and my very helpfull Pfaff-machine !!! with all it's beautifull stitches, which you will see when the block is finished... see u later!!

My first christmastree this year..... embrodered !! Now first the celebrations of the 5th dec it is Sinterklaas in Holland. And after that celebration, my home will be decorated in Christmasstyle !!!

My hexagones where finishes so I only had to sandwich this little project, quilt it, and a few stitches here and there and today... it is finished. I have a nice brown bag, this little purse will be in there... and only you know what is inside, little pieces of fabric who need to be joined.... no worries when I have to wait...always something to do with me....
