Something old, something new something borrowed something blue

Some more fabrics I bought on the fair... I love making Kaffe fassett quilts and this is one I want to make one day... no hurry with that I like to find nice fabrics for it.... the fabric on the right will be the bases and the rest will follow...... but first a few other quilts who have to be finished.... this is more like a summer project... when summer will come...

I was waiting for better weather to make a nice photo shoot of my Christel seyfahrt Shawl... but that still has to wait, so for now I made some pictures in the home.

 I am really happy with the borders ... was a little scared so many stitches and you just have to wait how it turns out to be... well I think fine !!!!!

And another finish... It was almost finished and then I didn't like it all anymore but now it is so nice to wrap it around to at night or when you are not feeling right it is very soft and you can make a easy knot in it or wrap it around you totally, this is a drops pattern,

 And some new potholders for my kitchen, one pattern is from drops ... yes.... again, really lovely and easy to make.

The other pattern I saw on lucy's blog  quilting with the past, I really loved them and soon I remembered my mother used to make these potholders too and then I made them too... I really like to make them also fun easy and quick sometimes you need a quick project...

Fabrics, beautiful colors, lovely quilts.....

Today I was at a fair in Rijswijk with M . and we found a lot of new pinks I needed for  my new quilt, which new quilt well below you see it, it was on the frontpage of quiltmania jan 2013... it is my new project to be.. ofcourse I first have to finish one.....

We looked at every stand for old pink a color I really love and which makes the quilt very happy... we found a few at yookies at quilt it dotty and at the sampler yes yes yes.... I can begin... or no thats right I first have to finish one..... but I have finished my shawl... will show the pictures an other time...

This little book I took with me to the fair I find it very easy to adjust fabrics to this and look for the fabrics I really need, so I also found some nice braun with pink fabrics.... 

The fluffy chicken who came out for eastern.... I still can't put them back... I just hope spring will start ... today was a lovely sunny day...... still cold but really sunny....

The next text I really like.....

And I am really happy to have such nice new fabrics.. ( I have more to show an other time) So I need less next time ......

Old fashioned and new handmade

When I was in Londen with my oldest we found this nice kit to make this old fashioned bag yourself, yesterday I started finding out how it is the best way to do it and I feel like Jane Austen or even more like in the middle ages, so fun..

  

The first little part I have done, yes, it is very easy all the colors are already on the canvas, so when you are stitching you are in a kind of meditation and can follow you' re mind and get new idears...

And a finish !!!!!!!Yes I am really happy the sampler of l atelier perdu is finished, i really like it very much it was very nice to make it , now it only needs a frame....

I love the candles in the hearts and I imagine my two kids going upstairs in there bedrooms by candlelight....

An update of my stitching project.... at the moment I love everything to do without a sewing machine so not such much quilting at the moment.

I am almost finishes with my Christel Seyfarth shawl

One of the boarders is finished but I didn't like the other boarders, so after reading on Wieke van Keulen's  blog, I decided to start all over again and do it her way

about 800 st a row, so hope you keep you're fingers crossed with me that this will turn out to be the good solution and my beautiful shawl will be finished soon

Update quilting, embroidery and knitting .....

 A new project, we are doing it M and I at The Sampler it is so nice to do and when it is finished I can take all my little sewing things with me , double fun !!!

A new knitting pattern... I liked the photo below so much I decided immediately that I needed to have some cotton and started right away that evening. It is knitted top down, so you start at the sleeve, very funny hope it will turn out as nice as the picture.....

I already see myself walking on the beach.... just a few more knits  ,-)  and  a little bit of sunshine

And an update of my sampler from L atelier perdu.. I changed the word sampler in carpe diem I thought it looked nice and I am very happy with how it turned out to be. I just thought we need a little bit of carpe diem at the moment have a nice stitching weekend

Weekend ...

A beautiful winter wonderland walking through the snow, I love it when the snow stays in the branches, the sun is shining and a blue sky ...... getting cold after a wonderful walk... and then warming yourself in you're cosy home at the fire place..... with a nice warm cup of coffee....

In between my quilting and knitting adventures I have some time for embroidery, this is where I am working on it is a pattern from L'atelier perdu... and it is lovely... and almost finished. What will be my first finish ..... oh I already have one I can tell you the spencer for my father is finishes and he is so happy with it he was smiling from ear to ear... so nice and now he is warm as well .-)

I do it with paper piecing, that s right the easy way why not....

Ad this are the two first rows... I am really happy with it working on the third now..

In the mean while I am knitting a spencer for my father he liked the cushions on my sofa so much that I had to make him a spencer of the same material it turns out to be nice warm an comfortable
