Texel

We eat at a lovely farmhouse. You can also stay there for the night it is called the 14 stars, I love the name, this is because the have 14 totally different rooms. We drove from Den Hoorn, to De Koog to Den Burg.

Texel

Texel is an island just above Den Helder, in just 25 minutes by boot you will be there but the atmosfere is totally different, here some pictures of yesterday. We just went for a day. Mostly people go there to visit for a longer period, but one day is also very nice to do.

Civil War Dairy Quilt

I know I still have time but since it is rainy today I just wanted to make a CWD and show you immediately. Don't worry my homework is not nearly done... this is the first block I made. I enjoyed the sunny days we had the last weeks and had the work during the other times...

It is big easy and fast but so nice to do when you are on holiday and it is certainly finished when you are back...

D - Quilt

This is the Quilt D. sleeps under every night, it is one of my first samplers. She was still in the pinks and reds ans all the blocks are made by hand... sorry it isn't ironed but it is a sleeping quilt lol

Telegram, not really one of the most fun blocks to make, but it had to be done since I want to make all the blocks of the quilt....

. ... I cann't only make the nice ones and keep the lesser ones till the last, then the quilt will surely not finish

Holiday quilt

3 years ago I bought some Kaffe Fassett fabric and I tried to make a quilt, but I am used to using small piecs....today, I finally know what I want to make of it and how too do it.... well you will understand how happy I am.... How do you like this fabrics... feels like going on holiday !!! Which pattern.... well I will tell you an other time.... I can only say it is bigger then normal and simple..

Eastereggs

I painted some eggs. The picture is not quit clear, if I have a better one I will blog then one but for now it has to do. It are very little eggs, i painted them and with ribbon and pearls they look quit nice, they are in pink, orange and green. Now the kids can finish the easter"tree"... with some other wooden eaterornaments.

Something from Schweden

As you read I was in Schweden latel. This is Something I bought over there. I am goung to make the scarecrow of Tilda. Futher I bought some fabrics.... I not making them today... it is too nice weather in the Netherlands.

A new block finished from the civil war dairy quilt. A lot of little pieces but very nice too make. I paperpieced this one, for me it are to many triangles. My homework
